Pastor Fred Garza, born again Christian since 1980, is a graduate from Edinburg High School and International Bible College. He is retired from the U.S Air Force with 7 years as a training instructor. He completed the Administrators Training and is the principal of the Rose of Sharon Christian Academy. He and his wife, Sister Gloria Garza, born again Christian since 1980, conducted their first service on September 29, 1991 in their home. The church was started with a vision to serve the Lord and reach souls for Jesus. They started as the Rose of Sharon Church of God out of Cleveland, TN and in 1995 they changed their name to the Rose of Sharon Christian Church.

In 1996 they started a Christian Academy using the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) program. This is the second school Sister Gloria Garza has helped start from the ground up. The Rose of Sharon Christian Academy is a ministry of the church. Pastor Fred Garza and his wife are on a mission to teach their students about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ along with their academic work. We believe that Jesus Christ is the answer to all our questions and He must be glorified. We invite you to join us in this exciting adventure of faith.
